STREAMER / ARTIST / ENGINEER
Hi! Nice to meet you, my name is Kristie!
I was born and raised in Austin, TX and moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2022.
I started as an Asian fashion blogger that pursued engineering and business from my involvement in robotics and my interest in apparel marketing. Using my initial platform of 40k followers in 2015, I brought to life an online clothing store, recruited and managed over 300 marketing affiliates, while graduating as valedictorian and then obtained my BS in Mechanical Engineering with a business minor from a top 10 nationally ranked college for engineering, and top 5 for business in 2020. Throughout my time in university, I also cultivated my learning in graphic design and 3D CAD design, and built strong skills in my ability to meet new faces and recruit hundreds of people to join organizations and events under my leadership.
In 2020, I worked as a Twitch emote artist, and then towards the end of December 2021, I resumed my online activity and personal content creation under the name “Starrymiu“, streaming Just Chatting and Music on Twitch to showcase my personality along with 20+ years of musical knowledge and perfect pitch with piano, guitar, and other various instruments. After settling down in LA, I’m now finding a balance between consistently producing content and working full-time as an engineer.
August 4, 1997. I’m 25!
I grew up playing a lot of Super Smash Bros Melee, Maplestory, and Kirby’s Avalanche (which is just another version of Puyo Puyo). I was also super addicted to animal crossing for a while too, but I haven’t played much of anything nowadays.
Although I’m Chinese, my parents were born in Cambodia and lived in Vietnam before immigrating to the US. I grew up speaking Teochew Chinese and learned some Mandarin from classes.
Definitely have a preference for Asian food or Asian-fusion! I’d say my favorite is typically sushi but I really like Viet desserts!
I watch anime and kdramas, but not as much as I used to. My favorites are Full Moon wo Sagashite, Toradora, Madoka Magica, Attack on Titan, and Your Lie in April.
